Richmond, VA, United States (AHN) – Kevin Harvick won the battle but Brad Keselowski might well win the war.

Harvick, the polesitter for Friday night’s NASCAR Nationwide Series, held off Keselowski, the points leader, over a final 40-lap run to to win the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond International Raceway.

In the third race in the Nationwide Series’ new car, Harvick finished .256 seconds ahead of Keselowski, who stretched his points lead to 373 points over Carl Edwards, who finished 10th.

“We started off OK and really fell off. Paul Wolfe (crew chief) and all the Ruby Tuesday team worked on the car all night and made it way better throughout the race,” said Keselowski. “We just needed a little bit there at the end to catch Kevin (Harvick) because he was awesome all night. What a great battle at the end. He was so good on long runs.

Trevor Bayne finished a career-best third and was followed by Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Reed Sorenson.

“I was definitely a little worried there on that first long green flag run. We were just way too tight in the center of the corner. At the beginning of the run we would be free in, but we just had to kind of ignore that to get it freed up in the center,” said Bayne. “

The run before the last one, we were really, really strong, but we went a little too far there at the very end so I didn’t have anything for those leaders. Really excited about this run we had today. That was awesome to get a top-three here with these new cars. Everybody at our shop has worked their butts off to get these new cars right and they were that way when we unloaded. Just a great run for this Out! Pet Care Toyota.”

For Harvick it was his third win of the season and 37th of his career as he led 170 of 250 laps. The top-10 finishers were rounded out by Denny Hamlin, Clint Bowyer, Paul Menard, Kyle Busch and Edwards.

If you are in the situation of having a spouse who wants you to change your appearance through plastic surgery, think about what could happen. Maybe you’d have liposuction, and your spouse liked the results, but then he suggests getting breast augmentation. After that he might suggest a nose job. Can you see how sick and wrong this is? It’s one thing to want your spouse to dress nice and keep relatively fit, but wanting a partner to undergo surgery to change their appearance is an issue of control and insecurity.

The way to reconcile a troubled marriage and plastic surgery is to deal with them separately. The marriage itself should be priority number one, and you may require couples’ counseling or individual counseling to resolve the issues that are troubling your marriage. If you’re able to do this to achieve a stronger marriage, then maybe you can think about having plastic surgery to alter your appearance. Plastic surgery should be a personal decision and should not be prompted by wanting to please another person – even if the changes do end up pleasing that other person.

There is no doubt that plastic surgery often improves a person’s self esteem, particularly if they have fretted about a less-than-perfect body part for a number of years. It can be empowering to look in the mirror and think to yourself, “Wow. I have an awesome nose.” But that sense of empowerment and self esteem won’t be there if you look in the mirror and think, “Now that I had augmentation surgery, all that Brad cares about is making me wear low cut tops, particularly if we’re going out on a weekend.” Doesn’t the rest of me matter?” Plastic surgery should only be undertaken after serious consideration, and a troubled marriage is not a good reason to choose plastic surgery.
